Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu has described Governor Bassey Otu as a beacon of hope and progress for Cross River state.
In a message of felicitation signed by her, Edu said, “I join the good people of Cross River State, families, friends, and well-wishers across Nigeria and beyond in celebrating my Governor, Senator (Apostle) Prince Bassey Edet Otu, on the joyous occasion of his 66th birthday.
“On this special day, we honour not just a leader, but a man of deep vision, humility, and compassion, one whose unwavering commitment to good governance continues to transform lives and communities across our dear state”.
She said, “through exemplary leadership, people-first policies, and a faith-driven passion for service, you have rekindled hope in governance and strengthened unity among our people.
“Your impactful interventions in infrastructure, aviation, education, tourism, and other key sectors have not only improved livelihoods but have also placed Cross River State proudly on the global map. Well done, my governor.
“As you celebrate another year of divine grace and purposeful leadership, it is my prayer that God Almighty continues to endow you with greater wisdom, good health, and renewed strength to steer Cross River State to even greater heights”.
