The Chairman, Ben Akak Foundation, Engr. Ben Akak has thumbed up the governance enterprise of Governor Bassey Otu saying, in just two years, development in the state has taken a quantum leap.
In a goodwill message on May 29, to felicitate with President Bola Tinubu, Governor Otu and others on their two years in office, he said the governor has done well and “we are not disappointed”.
Akak who was a former Governorship aspirant in the primaries that eventually produced Governor Otu, stated, “today, the development in the state is experiencing a quantum leap in every sector just within two years of your dedicated and people-driven leadership”..
“This is not an aggrandizement nor sycophancy”, Akak said adding that, “eyes have seen, ears have heard and it has entered into the heart of Cross Riverians what God has used you to do for the state.
“As concerned citizens, you have given us reasons again to reminisce on the sweet recollections of the clean and green ambient of our state, a space to relive our democratic history and its heritage, and the courage to clear the gloom ingrained on our identity.
“Your Excellency, with what you have done, with the support of your loving wife, in this two years of your leadership, we are basking again in the oxygen of the renewed hope mantra”.
He said, “our loving Governor, these two years were highly demanding for you as our state needed, as a matter of urgency, to leapfrog above the minimum requirement of being a progressive state.
“Our reliance on your capacity and experience to make this dream a reality was unequivocal”.
On behalf of the Management and staff of Ben Akak Foundation, formerly expressed joy with the president saying, “I write to heartily felicitate with the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his landmark achievements as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for this epochal two years in office”.
He also felicitated Governor Otu, his amiable wife, Bishop Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon Peter Odey, the entire members of executive council and the good people of Cross River State, as they mark two years in office”.
