Governor Otu’s Chief of Staff Charges Forum on State Interest, Continuous Voter Registration

The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State, Dr. Emmanuel Ironbar, has officially inaugurated the executive members of the Cross River State Consultative Forum, a new socio-political group aimed at fostering citizen engagement.

Barrister Eyo Nsa Ekpo will chair the forum, with Chief Dr. Julius Okputu serving as Secretary and Dr. Egbe Ayuk as Vice Chairman.

The 15-member executive also includes all 18 local government council chairmen, who will act as coordinators for the forum.

Chief Ironbar emphasized the forum’s role in promoting and protecting the state’s interests, offering suggestions, and bringing enlightenment and understanding to the populace.

He reiterated Governor Bassey Otu’s “People First” mantra, highlighting the Governor’s commitment to widespread development across the state.

Additionally, Chief Ironbar urged the forum to mobilize citizens and residents to actively participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise by INEC, specifically within Cross River State.

Other key members inaugurated into the State Consultative Forum include Sir Maurice Effiwatt (Treasurer), Edema Erom (Women Coordinator), Prof. John Shiyam (Vice Chairman North), Charles Atu (Vice Chairman South), Friday Ntaji (Organizing Secretary), Osaka Nsed (Assistant Organizing Secretary), Nsa Gill (Publicity Secretary), Innocent Ushie (Assistant Publicity Secretary), Barrister Mensa Bassey (Legal Adviser), Barrister Yemiode Terry Hephzibah, Chief Ani Esin (Assistant State Secretary), Mr. Felix Enyiegor (State Youth Coordinator), Mrs. Beatrice Nyam (Welfare Officer), and Mrs. Katame Emilia (Assistant Welfare Officer).
