The Cross River State Football Association (CRFA) has felicitated with the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gasau on his elevation as the new President of the West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B).
A statement signed by the Chairman of the State FA, Rt. Hon. Essien Ayi, said, “your appointment is not only a personal achievement but a national pride for Nigeria.
“It is a true reflection of your tireless commitment, visionary leadership, and unrelenting passion for the growth and transformation of football in Nigeria and across the West African sub-region”.
“On behalf of the entire Cross River State Football Association, we proudly celebrate this significant milestone in your career. Your elevation as WAFU B President is a resounding vote of confidence in your capacity to lead with integrity and excellence.
“We, firmly believe that under your leadership, WAFU B will witness renewed unity, greater developmental strides, and deeper collaboration among member nations. Your proven track record at the helm of the NFF has already set a strong foundation for regional football advancement, and we are confident that, your tenure as President will usher in a new era of success for West African football”, the statement added.
The State FA declared its unalloyed support for the new president saying, “as you take on this prestigious continental assignment. We stand ready to contribute towards initiatives that align with the objectives of WAFU B and the broader vision of the Confederation of African Football (CAF)”.
