AGRO-REVOLUTION: Firm Unveils 90,000 Nifo Tonera Palm Seedlings For Farmers in Akwa Ibom

…Seeks Partnership With MDAs, Others

An Agro-revolution is emerging in Akwa Ibom state with Altimate Regent Nigeria Limited, an agro-allied company unveiling thousands of Nifo Tonera Palm Seedlings.

Nifo Tonera Palm Seedlings project and distribution investment in the state, is the latest for Altimate Regent Nigeria Limited, with diversified interests in Property Development, Estate Management, Warehousing, Automobile/Trucks Parking Logistics, and Oil and Gas.

With this massive project aiming to help to assist the state and the country from over dependence on oil revenues, the company is seeking partnership with Government Ministries and Agencies, Multi-National Organizations, NGOs, Groups and Individuals.

Located at 21, Umo Obot Road, Ikot Ekpene in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, the company, a major distributor of Nifo Tonera, a premium variety of palm seedlings in Akwa Ibom State and the South-South region, with distribution plans across Nigeria, announced the availability of this hybrid through a press release and site inspection ahead of this year’s planting season.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Altimate Regent Nig,  Mr. Dennis Ibok Udoh-Anwankwo in a his statement, stated that the landmark initiative aligns with the agricultural revolution outlined in Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE AGENDA, aiming “to provide quality palm seedlings, at very affordable prices to farmers for a bumper harvest, thereby contributing to the governor’s vision”.

The initiative, according to Udoh-Anwankwo, who is an American-based entrepreneur, is expected to boost local palm oil production in Akwa Ibom in particular, South South geopolitical zone and Nigeria at large, thus “enhancing economic empowerment for rural communities through improved livelihoods”.

Speaking at the company’s nursery facility, Mr. Peter Idio, one of the management staff, disclosed that the Nifo Tonera palm seedlings are high-yielding, adding that they are suitable for the state’s and nation’s climate and soil conditions, making them an ideal choice for local farmers looking to boost productivity and generate more income.

He explained that Altimate Regent Nigeria Limited “has 90,000 seedlings of Nifo Tonera, a lucrative oil palm variety, in stock for government ministries and agencies, groups, and individuals interested in this revolutionary and innovative means of creating generational wealth”.

Mr. Idio further assured farmers of a significant increase in their productivity, with this special species, within one year and nine months of planting and proper maintenance.

He emphasized that the Nifo Tonera variety is “specifically bred to produce high yields, thrive in the local climate, and exhibit resistance to the prevalent oil palm diseases”.

This underscores the company’s commitment to partnering with oil palm farmers, providing them with high-yield seedlings, technical support, and professional assistance, aligning with the government’s efforts to boost economic growth and stability.
