The spiritual head of a Calabar-based spiritual organisation, Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS), Olumba Olumba Obu, has urged corrupt politicians to repent of their sins or steer clear of next year’s polls, saying their time of misleading Nigerians were over.
Speaking through his Spokesman, Dr Amah Williams, during a press conference in Calabar, Wednesday, the spiritual leader warned Nigerian leaders to serve the people with justice, responsibility and compassion, noting “God does not approve of power without conscience.”
Dr Amah said the organisation was preparing to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the coronation of their leader, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, on 14th of April, 2026.
He called on politicians not to make public office a tool for intimidation, greed and selfish enrichment.”
His words: “Those who rule in deceit and perpetrate wickedness by silencing dissent and oppressing the weak and vulnerable should know that their time is up. This is the time to entrench the concept of servant leadership, selflessness and compassion in governance by those in authority.
“It is important to inform humanity that this is not the time to glory in human wisdom, for as you have seen, human wisdom has failed man. The present economic crisis, wars and diseases ravaging every corner of the earth is a pointer to the fact that it is time for man to turn to God for help.
“This is not the time to promote acrimony and hate. No longer should anyone engage in religious violence, nor promote individualism and the concept of me first against the brotherhood of man and the unity of all races. This is the time to let go hate and embrace love, this is the time to let go war.
“As the nation moves gradually towards the 2027 general elections, the Holy Father has assured Nigerians that only the will of God shall be done, hence there is no need to fight, kill or maim anyone for no matter how hard you try, His divine will alone will be done in Nigeria.”
Dr Amah disclosed that the celebration would witness special visitation by Monarchs all over the world, medical outreach and other humanitarian services as well as consecration of bishop-elect and Archbishop.
