The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has reassured members of the public of its commitment to serve them and to build trust.
The Zone 6 Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), AIG Auwal Musa Mohammad gave this re-assurance on Monday, Day 2 as he led officers and men of the zone in the early hours of the day for the WALKATHON along the streets of Calabar in commemoration of the ongoing Police day.
This was contained in a release by the Zone 6 (ZPRO), Headquarters Calabar, DSP. Jefferson Osupe, made available to some newsmen on Monday.
With the support of POWA Zone 6, the AIG informed citizens along the way about the significance of the movement, reminding them of the theme for this year’s National Police day which is “Community Partnership: Building Trust”.
The AIG thereafter, addressed the men of the force, thanking them for their cooperation and reiterated that the whole point of the exercise was “to reassure the citizens of our commitment to serve them and to build trust”.
While acknowledging the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Rilwan Disu for his visionary leadership and continuous encouragement of his subordinates, he pledged unwavering loyalty and commitment to him, the NPF and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
