Football fans in Port Harcourt will get free tickets to watch Rivers United Football Club’s first home match in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season, the clubs Media Officer, Charles Mayuku, has assured in a statement on Thursday.
The match is set to take place on Sunday, Aug. 31 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium against Kwara United by 4.00 p.m., Mayuku said.
“The club’s management has extended an invitation to all fans, families, and football enthusiasts to join them for what promises to be an electrifying encounter.
“We are excited to welcome our fans to the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium for our first home game of the season,” he stated.
According to Mayuku the free-for-all admission for the game will offer an unforgettable experience for fans at the club’s home turf.
He said: “This generous move by the club’s management is expected to create a lively atmosphere at the stadium, as fans come out in their numbers to support their beloved team.
