The Akwa Ibom First Lady Designate, Lady Helen Eno Obareki, has reaffirmed her office commitment to community development.
Lady Obareki who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), gave the assurance when she on Wednesday visited the GIFA office along Udotung Ubo Street, Uyo, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the Initiative’s impact across the state.
In a release from her Media Unit, the Lady Obareki during the visit held a strategic session with the GIFA team members on projects executed in the first half of 2025, while discussing other projects outlined for the second half of the year.
She commended the team for their dedication and reiterated her commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, especially women, children, the elderly, families and people living with disabilities.
“The work we are doing here is not just administrative – it is deeply personal,” the First Lady Designate said. “Every life touched through this project reminds us of why we must continue to serve with compassion and diligence.”
The SA to the Governor on General Duties and a member of the GIFA team, Mrs Anne Abraham presented gifts to Lady Obareki.
The visit to GIFA underscores Lady Helen Obareki’s hands-on approach to social advocacy and her vision for a more inclusive and caring society, as the third quarter of the year begins with prospects of heightened GIFA activities in Akwa Ibom State .
